Biography

Brian is a lecturer in the Decision Sciences and Operations Management Group at Manchester Business School. Prior to this he spent three years as a research officer and teaching assistant at the University of Bath, working on a project funded by the EPSRC. He joined MBS in 2005 and teaches Supply Chain Management and Operations Management at undergraduate, postgraduate and post experience levels. His areas of expertise include: strategic supply management, inter-firm relationship management, inter-firm knowledge transfer and theories of the firm.

Teaching and Research interests

Undergraduate: Level 2 Operations Management, Level 3 Foundations of Supply Chain Management, Strategic Supply Chain Management

Postgraduate: Supply Chain and Logistics Management (MSc Operations Management), Logistics and Supply (Engineering Doctorate)

Brian's research interests include: inter-firm knowledge transfer; supply chain risk management; environmental and ethical sourcing practices; manufacturing strategy; and theories of the firm.
